Remediation is the creation of a plan to resolve the gaps and the execution of the plan.  This is the final step to address and correct the vulnerabilities discovered during the audit.  All the activities prior to this will identify what needs to be done (discovery of gaps and vulnerabilities) and recommendations for addressing them.

The first step in remediation is determining how to go about it (analysis, planning, prioritizing).  With the execution of all of those plans from the previous phases, the end result of which should be a more secure organization.

In addition, our remediation service also includes providing guidance on how else your cybersecurity stance can be improved, above and beyond the scope of the preceding audit.  The goal is not to merely implement a few one-time changes, but also to instill continuing vigilance when it comes to cybersecurity.
